Mr. Mowrey brings eight years of legal experience in criminal defense, civil litigation, corporate law and probate litigation. Prior to obtaining his law degree, he handled marketing and sales in the transportation industry, gaining invaluable experience with major corporations in the U.S. With his background in business, combined with his experience in civil and criminal litigation he has the ability to maximize effort and reach resolutions to all problems. In college at Florida State University, while obtaining his education in political science, he was place kicker on the football team in the early 1990's. His leadership on the team led to him being a team captain his senior year. Mr. Mowrey earned his Bachelor of Science from Florida State University in 1994 and his Juris Doctor from Florida Coastal School of Law in 2000. Mr. Mowrey spent four years as an Assistant State Attorney in the State Attorney's Office in St. Augustine. In his time as an Assistant State Attorney, Mr. Mowrey prosecuted all crimes from simple petit theft to dangerous felonies culminating in the successful prosecution in State of Florida v. Randy Starner for 1st Degree Murder. Mr. Mowrey went into private practice in 2005. On November 3, 2008, Mowrey, Shoemaker, Beardsley PL opened to serve the citizens of Florida.
